Miracles do happen...

Rob and I have been noticing that Hailey has been extremely grumpy in the afternoons and early evenings.  We had tossed around the idea of having her take a nap early in the day, to help her with the grumpiness, (even though she hasn't taken a "nap" since she was about 18 months old!) Well, today, Mommy had had enough of her talking back and not listening, so I told her she needed to take a nap.  After more than an hour of telling her she needed to get in bed, I went into her room, and much to my shocking surprise.....

Now, if only I can get her to do this everyday, at the same time that Hudson takes one, I'll be in heaven.  I can dream, can't I?

Which Jane Austen Heroine are you?

I am Elizabeth Bennet!

Take the Quiz here!

Uncle Rico sighting!

Ok, no joke, there was a guy at the gym today that looked like Uncle Rico.  He totally gave me the creeps.  He kept staring at me, and I know he was just dying to show me his football video... or give me one of his "Breast Enhancement" fliers... yikes.

The Secret Life of Butterflies

Logan's our little biologist.  He got a "Caterpillar to Butterfly Kit" from Nana and Papa for Christmas.  It has been an amazing thing to watch the caterpillars eat and eat and get so fat, make their cocoons, and finally turn into beautiful butterflies.  There were times that Logan wouldn't even want to leave the house, in fear that he would miss out on one of them emerging from their cocoons.   In the pamphlet of instructions, it said that the butterflies' life span is about 2 weeks, so I thought, sounds like my kind of pet!  Things were going great!  Unfortunately, the pamphlet did not mention anything about them reproducing.  So, the other day, Logan's like, "Mom, they laid eggs!" Rob and I just dismissed it, chuckling at Logan's imagination. So, the next morning, while we were getting ready for church,  Logan informs us, "The eggs HATCHED!!"  So, my curiosity got the best of me, and no joke, there were these tiny, little baby caterpillars on my countertop!  Talk about short gestational period!   Anyways, now we're in a bit of a predicament.  We have no food to feed these tiny little caterpillars and frankly, I think the butterflies have lived a full enough life!   They've definitely been having "fun", if you know what I mean!  I told Logan that it's time to put them outside.  "But they'll die!"  (insert mommy's heart breaking right now)  "Sweetie, we don't have any food to feed their babies."  He told me to call the place that Nana got them from and ask them for the recipe of their food, so we can make them some.  LOL   Isn't there like a 'butterfly' expert I can call?    This is going to be a tough lesson on the "Circle of Life"  LOL Wish me luck!

I Will Follow God's Plan

I am the CTR 6 Teacher in my new ward and I have 4 cute, crazy, smart, rambunctious boys in my class.  Today our lesson was "I Chose to Follow Jesus Christ".  We talked about the premortal existence and how we 'shouted for joy" when Heavenly Father's plan was presented to us.  In the lesson it had the words to the song "I Will Follow God's Plan"

My life is a gift, my life has a plan
My life has a purpose, in heav'n it began.
My choice was to come to this lovely home on earth
And seek for God's light to direct me from birth.
I will follow God's plan for me,
Holding fast to his word and his love.
I will work, and I will pray;
I will always walk in his way.
Then I will be happy on earth
And in my home above.

I love that song.   I am so thankful for my knowledge of the gospel that guides me through this life here on earth.   I know that Heavenly Father loves us and is aware of each of us.  I know that He sent His Son, to show us the way to live, so that we can live with Him again.

"TA-DA!"

A new blog is born...Oh my gosh!  I can't believe I am starting a blog.  I had to.  I have so many friends that live far away, I wanted to feel more 'connected' with them.... also, I think this is a great way for me to keep some sort of journal.  I used to be really good about writing down funny or cute things that my kids do, but now that I have 3 to keep up with, I've sort of let that fall by the wayside.  So, voila!  Here is a wonderful way to do it!  Welcome to the Wright Family Blog.... however random, silly, or boring it may be!
