Science Project

Ok, just to warn everyone, this is a "BRAG" entry! Logan's school had a Science Fair last Friday, and he was so excited about making his first VOLCANO! He won a ribbon for "Coolest Science Project". He was pretty stoked about it. I really think he's going to change the world with his scientific curiosities. Yesterday, the kids were putting away their laundry, (grudgingly), and while hanging up his shirts, he says, "I'm going to make a robot so that he can do this for me." Watch out world! Here comes Logan!

It is "Dr. Seuss Week" at Logan's school, and he told me that today is "Wacky Wednesday"! Looking back on my day, I guess it kind of was! My dad offered to watch Hailey and Hudson for the whole day, but only if my mom and I would go skiing, just us girls! We had such a blast! The sky was blue, sun was shining, snow was fast... it was awesome. Even got a little suntan on my face! Not bad for only being like 20 degrees on the mountain! LOL Another wacky thing that happened, was I realized how lucky I am to have such a cool mom. She is so fun to be around. She is so spunky, (ok spazzy), and she is hilarious. She is so encouraging and helps me to look at the positive side of things. It was so much fun to spend the day with her. Also, I have a very cool dad. My kids are so lucky to have such an awesome Grandpa. Tonight, I asked Hailey what her favorite part of today was, and she said " I loved all the nice things that Grandpa did for me." During Hudson's nap, they played "SORRY", (Hailey said she won every time) and colored and had "class time". They had so much fun with Grandpa, they were hardly even excited when I walked through the door! I'm trying not to take it personally... jk.

Twilight

I have been reading "Twilight", and, I'm sure that about 99 % of you who read my blog have already read the entire series, so I won't bore you with the details. As you know, "Edward" can hear people's thoughts. So, today, I had an eye exam. The optometrist came in and was cracking some jokes, trying to be funny. TRYING... so I thought to myself, "This guy's a dork!" Immediately, a wave of panic came over me, "Be careful what you say! He might be able to hear your thoughts!" I think I might be a little too engulfed in this story... Rob said that he thinks I need to see a psychologist.

Future Olympic Down-hill skier

Today was Hailey's first day of skiing! SHE LOVED IT! As you can clearly see from the pictures, she is going to be a gold medalist skier someday.

*Please note* Logan was skiing too fast for the camera to catch any shots of him, but he had a blast today too. He was so excited to see how awesome his little sister was at skiing! Hudson was in the lodge with Grandma Cheryl. I don't think they make skis little enough for him yet.

I was lost, and now I'm found

Have you ever heard of someone stating that the art of losing things is hereditary? Well, all of us kids used to tease my mom so bad for losing things. "Where's my purse?" "Have you seen my glasses?" "Do you know where the garage door opener is?" You name it, she would lose it. (And she still does!) Anyways, I regret to report that I have inherited this bad trait. About a month ago, I lost my keys... Car keys, house keys, mail key, even one of my parents' house keys, LOST. I could not find them ANYWHERE!!! I was sick about it. I kept worrying that someone could break into our house or steal our car or something awful. I looked in every nook and cranny of the car, looked in all the kids' toy boxes, (because I've caught Hailey with them a few times before, to play "house" with), all throughout the entire house, all my coats, my purse, EVERYWHERE! I kept praying that I would be able to find them.... I was seriously thinking about having all of our house keylocks changed... So, this morning, my grandma called me and asked me if I'd lost any keys. Oh my gosh, words cannot express my utter relief. We had gone to the mall about a month ago, and my grandma let me borrow her coat, and at some point, I had put my keys in the pocket of her coat. I remember now, that, at the time, I had a spare set of keys in my purse, so I didn't even realize that it wasn't the same set that had my house key on it. I love when prayers are answered. I'm so thankful that Grandma thought to call me and ask me if they were mine. She just happened to put the coat on today, because she was going to a dr. appt. Isn't it amazing how things happen? I am so grateful for this answer to my prayers.

Happy Valentine's Day!

My kitchen's a mess and my kids have been on sugar highs all day. But they're all in bed, (for now at least), and I am going to take a few minutes to list the things that made my heart melt today, in honor of "The day of LOVE".
1. The good morning kiss from my honey.
2. Logan and Hailey giving me hugs and saying thank you for their Valentines. (by their own free will and choice!)
3. Hudson waking up and giving me the hugest hug (while patting me on my back) and not letting go of me. (Melts my heart everytime!)
4. My mom bringing the kids their Valentine's.
5. The expression on Logan's face when I walked into his classroom for his Valentine's Day party.
6. Rob coming home with flowers.
7. Logan giving me a hug and telling me that I'm the best and nicest mom ever. (I think it was the sugar talking, but I'll take it!)
8. Hailey asking for a treat for the thousandth time before 10:00 this morning (which was making my heart BURN), and me asking her why she always asks for treats. She responds in her sweet, little, princess voice, "Because I'm a treat girl!' I have no idea what the honor of that is, but it was the cutest thing ever.

I love Robbie and our kids so much. I am the luckiest wife and mommy in the world!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!!
