My 1st day of 1st grade (Sept. 2007)
Last day of 1st grade
I really liked 1st grade, but I didn't like the math! My favorite part was when Mrs. Hogan would do science. When I moved to my new school, I met a lot of fun, new friends. Check out the video of me doing some sweet tricks on my mountain bike.

Small and Simple Things
"Try, as husbands and wives, not to be too demanding of one another. There must be a little give and take, a great deal of flexibility, and fierce loyalty to make a happy home." -Sister Marjorie Pay Hinckley, "Small and Simple Things"

If I could turn back time....
I would have...
* Set up a camera before I went to bed, along with some road spikes in front of our house
* Gone to bed at 10:00
* Heard the car drive by that threw the egg at our house, and ran out there with pepper spray, water balloon grenades and sprayed the hose inside their car window... then thrown real mud pies in their faces... or just thrown a bunch of eggs at them... so many choices...
* Gotten up to go running this morning
* Made Logan a lunch and taken it to school for him, instead of scrubbing my toilets and cleaning my house
* Put Hudson's wipes back in my purse before we went on errands, (instead of having to come home to change his 4th poopy diaper of the day!)
* Bought that dang Laguna Beach sweatshirt because I'm freezing! (it snowed again today)
Oh, the list could go on and on... So, my question for you now is, What would you do if you caught someone egging or vandalizing your house, car or whatever?

Toothbrush bandit
Last night, before Hudson went to bed, Rob and I were in the kitchen talking about our days. After a few minutes, I realized that Hudson wasn't in the living room anymore and I looked down the hallway to see that the bathroom door was open, (his favorite naughty place to be), but he wasn't in there. So I peeked in his room and I could hear him in his closet, with the doors shut. So, thinking about how cute it would be to get his surprised look on tape when he opened the doors to see me standing there, I grabbed my camera. Little did I know that he had taken Logan's toothbrush, (which he KNOWS is a big no-no), then quickly went into his closet to have some alone time with it. I love when the camera is rolling when you have no idea what's gonna happen! Our little Hudson...

It's "HOTTER" in Orange County
Especially when we're there. I just got back from a fabulous weekend in sunny OC! If you've ever seen "Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County".... that's pretty much how we were. Ok, not really, but we went to the beach, (Doheney and Laguna), ate at some yummy restaurants, did some shopping, stayed at a 5 STAR B&B, watched some 'chick flicks', and stayed up til 3 in the morning talking about what girls talk about until 3 in the morning! LOL (What happens in Coto, stays there!) Cori, your parents are awesome! They totally spoiled us! (As well as our awesome husbands who let us go!) I had so much fun and I can't wait til the next mommy's weekend getaway!

Happy Mother's Day!
Today was such an awesome day! (Which is why I have to write it down because this hasn't necessarily been the case in year's past.) The forecast said it was supposed to rain all day, without even a hint of sunshine, but it was gorgeous and sunny all day long! It was such a treat and we were still able to have our BBQ! (Robbie and my dad were in charge of dinner!) Logan made me a ceramic heart, 2 cards, and his little handprint at school, and Hailey made me a paper airplane of some sort. There was one sad part of the day, poor little Hudson had a fever and threw up, (which I have to give Rob total credit for, because he stayed home from church with him, so that I could hear the kids sing in Sacrament. I have such an awesome husband!) I absolutely love the little crafts that the kids make for me. It melts my heart everytime! I am so lucky to have such awesome, sweet kids. They can be huge stinkers most of the time, but oh how I cherish them and love them! 2 awesome quotes that I heard today at church: 1.) "I try to be the mother that my children deserve." 2.) "Our children are our greatest treasures. Do we treat them as such?"
Here is a picture of my MOM and Grandma Necia taken today. I absolutely love this picture and I am so happy that I was able to capture it. My mom usually won't let anyone get near her with a camera! LOL I am so lucky to have such an awesome Mom and Grandma. They are 2 of the reasons why I love living in Spokane. They have demonstrated to me the joy of living a service filled life and the importance of always looking at the bright side of things. They tirelessly do things for others and I am so deeply grateful for their influence in my life.
I was going to send an email out to all the women and mothers I know, but then I had a stroke of genius and thought I'd save time and do it on my blog! So, all you wonderful mothers (and future mothers) out there.... HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!! I truly hope you have a wonderful day full of love, expressed appreciation and well-behaved children!
